Volunteers will receive training on Charts, OS Maps, Radio Communications, RADAR, Weather, Boathandling, Ropes, Flares, Beach Search & Rescue and First Aid to a standard to achieve a Watchkeeprs Certificate.
Each Volunteer will have a ‘Portfolio of Evidence’ of training received and standards achieved.
Volunteers with appropriate certification and experience can be fast tracked to Watchkeeper.
Qualifications are based on Royal Yachting Association syllabus
